Conquer the Oceans: A Mariner’s Perspective

The mariners are not of the land, they always yearn for the deep seas blue

What stuff are they made of inside no one knows, they haven’t got a clue

Strong as iron, nerves of steel, it is not easy to live such a life so hats off

Ignorant are those who call them drunkards, laugh at them and scoff

It requires a person literally from another planet to survive at sea

A poet said long ago, if you want to build a ship just find that yearning

For no other passion can help to survive, not even the lucrative earning

We salute the mariners of the world who stay away from their home base

They shall always occupy a position of respect, a very very special place
